Transitional Living Center

The Transitional Living Center (TLC) is a homeless shelter in Burlington, Wisconsin.

Its mission is to provide families and individuals with temporary shelter and basic necessities while assisting them in gaining skills to become self-sufficient, employed, and independent.

In 2023, the church donated $1,500 from its rummage sales to Transitional Living Center.

Casa Bernabe Orphanage

Our church has a long history of supporting this Christian orphanage in Guatemala.

Many years ago, after visiting the orphanage, one of our members, Chuck Ostrander, started the annual spring rummage sale as a fundraiser. Chuck moved away in 2020, but the church remains committed to the cause. Church members and the greater community so willingly give their time, talent, and treasure to make it a success.

In 2023, the church donated $1,500 from its rummage sales to Casa Bernabe Orphanage.

Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child and Disaster Relief

Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization. Its mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Each November members of our church family donate items, gather to pack shoeboxes, and donate towards the cost of shipping. Thank you to everyone who donated items and money (we raised $240) for the Operation Christmas Child and to those who helped pack the boxes on Saturday October 29, 2023.

Samaritan's Purse also helps those  impacted by natural disasters. In 2023, our church donated $1,100 to support the recovery from Maui wildfires.

The National Association of Congregational Christian Churches

Each year the church makes a voluntary donation to the national association.
