Our Supported Missions
Love, Inc. is a non-profit organization headquartered in Burlington, Wisconsin with programs and services dedicated to serving disadvantaged families and individuals in Western Racine County.
Our church donates to the Love, Inc. food pantry, makes donations from rummage sales, serves hot meals several times each year, and supports the Adopt-A-Family Christmas Program.
In 2022, our church:
Served meals at Love, Inc on January 3rd, February 28th, May 16th and August 29th.
Donated one-third of the proceeds from its rummage sales to Love Inc.
Donated $200 to Love Inc's School Supplies Program.
Provided Christmas gifts for 4 local families to brighten their Christmas morning through the Adopt-A-Family Christmas Program.
Transitional Living Center
The Transitional Living Center (TLC) is a homeless shelter in Burlington, Wisconsin.
Its mission is to provide families and individuals with temporary shelter and basic necessities while assisting them in gaining skills to become self-sufficient, employed, and independent.
In 2022, the church donated one-third of the proceeds from its rummage sales to Transitional Living Center and another $420 as a special collection when TLC moved to its new location.
Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child and Disaster Relief
Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization. Its mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Each November members of our church family donate items, gather to pack shoeboxes, and donate towards the cost of shipping. Thank you to everyone who donated items and money (we raised $330) for the Operation Christmas Child and to those who helped pack the boxes on Saturday November 12, 2022.
Samaritan's Purse also helps those impacted by natural disasters. In 2022, our church donated $1,100 to support the recovery from Hurricane Ian.
Casa Bernabe Orphanage
Our church has a long history of supporting this Christian orphanage in Guatemala.
Many years ago, after visiting the orphanage, one of our members, Chuck Ostrander, started the annual spring rummage sale as a fundraiser. Chuck moved away in 2020, but the church remains committed to the cause. Church members and the greater community so willingly give their time, talent, and treasure to make it a success.
In 2022, the church donated one-third of the proceeds from its rummage sales to Casa Bernabe Orphanage.
